The Jan 29th (Ben Russell) meet has been canceled.

Parents, 
The team will be traveling Friday to Spain Park for a two-day tournament.  We will leave the JH at 1:15 PM and then go to Drake for a 1:30 PM departure.  Weigh-ins at 4:00 PM and wrestling will start at 6:00 PM.  After wrestling on Friday we will go to the hotel.  Each wrestler needs to bring an overnight bag and money for food.  The team will be staying at the Wingate by Wyndham hotel on 800 Corporate Ridge Drive.

Practices
AJHS Wrestling practices will start October 21st and run from 3:45 PM-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday at the AHS Wrestling (old) gym. Drake students will ride the athletic bus and AJHS students will ride on the first wave of buses to AHS.

Parents and New Wrestlers
To help you better understand how the Junior High schedule works, here are a few explanations. The State of Alabama has two categories which fall under the Junior High School:  Junior High (grades 7-9) and Middle Schools (grades 7-8). In the Middle School (grades 7-8) category grades 9 - 12 are considered High school. Within the High School there are two groups: Varsity (grades 9-12) and Junior Varsity (grades 9-11).  Some of the tournaments we will attend will be Middle School (grades 7-8) only, while others will be Junior High (grades 7-9). Two of the tournaments which we will attend will run both Middle School (grades 7-8) and Junior Varsity (grades 9-11) events simultaneously. The tournament schedule is as follows:

*On the schedule, the word “All” means every wrestler will attend the event.
