Oct 31st: Downtown Trick-Or-Treat
All AHS and AJHS wrestlers are requested to arrive near Moe’s Southwest Grill entrance behind Pieology (where you’ll see a “City of Auburn” pick-up truck & van) by 5:30. Streets will close off @ 5:30pm, with events lasting from 6-8pm, & streets re-opening immediately after.
The Auburn Wrestling station will be in the same location as in the past years. Wrestlers will help set up all tables & chairs for all stations, hand out season info (i.e., schedules, upcoming Tire Flip & other fundraising info, youth wrestling info, etc.), as they hand out candy to “little ones”, and help with breaking down all tables & chairs from each station at the end of the event.

AHS Football Game Volunteers Needed!
These volunteer positions will generate funds to be used to offset various costs throughout the upcoming season. Click on the logo at right or here to volunteer!
Main gate and Visitor gate volunteers must be 18 or older to handle money associated with selling game tickets. Those working the Visitor gate are asked to report to the main gate prior to the beginning of their shift to pick up a money box from Teresa Hildreth. Volunteers working the Handicap gate will only take tickets and not be selling them.
All games are scheduled to start at 7:00 PM. As you will arrive well before game time, plenty of parking will be available in the field next to the stadium.

Oct 17th: Skin Infection Brief
Date: Tuesday, October 17th
Location: AJHS Multi-Media Room
Time: 6:30 PM
Details: Wrestlers will learn about the variety of skin infections commonly associated with wrestling, how to identify them, why they're so common, and ways to prevent the spread of these skin diseases. If you do happen to contract one of these infections, you will also learn what to do to quickly return to competition.

Student-Athlete Eligibility Requirements
AHSAA and Auburn City Schools requires the following forms to be completed ANNUALLY and on file in the Auburn City Schools Athletic Office prior to a student-athlete participating in any tryout, practice or game/contest:
AHSAA Pre-Participation Physical Evaluatiron Form: The front side must be completed and signed by the student and parent/guardian. Back side must be completed, dated and signed by an MD/DO.

ACS 2017-18 Medical Consent and Insurance Verification Form: Insurance information must be completed and form dated and signed by parent/guardian.
ACS Extracurricular Substance Abuse Program Consent/Release Form: Required to be signed each school year for all student-athletes.
The following requirements are completed one time with certificates remaining in the student-athlete’s file in the Auburn City Schools Athletic Office until graduation.
- Student Certified Birth Certificate: Original certified birth certificate brought to Athletic Office to be copied and the copy then placed in student-athlete’s file.

- New for 2017-2018 NFHS Sportsmanship Course
The NFHS Sportsmanship Course replaces Star Sportsmanship for First Time Student-Athletes for the 2017-2018 School Year. ANY STUDENT WHO CURRENTLY HOLDS A STAR CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE NEW PROGRAM. Refer to the AHSAA instructions on completing this requirement below:
All first-time student-athletes (those who have not taken the STAR Course) are required to complete the NFHS Sportsmanship Program. Any student who currently holds a certificate of completion for the STAR Sportsmanship program is “grandfathered” and will NOT be required to complete the new program.
The NFHS Sportsmanship component can be found at www.NFHSlearn.com and the course is free of charge. Students need to register if they are first time users to the NFHS Learn website.
Instructions for NFHS Sportsmanship Course
- Go to www.NFHSlearn.com and register an account if you have not done so before. Keep a record of your username and password. The AHSAA does not have access to these.
- Under courses, type in sportsmanship and the The “Sportsmanship” Elective Course should appear.
- Click on the course. Then the “View” buttom.
- Next, a blue tab should appear that says “Order Course.” (The course is free)
- A box will appear for the student/coach to identify who will be completing the course.
- Next, a shopping cart appears. Select the state of Alabama, and checkout.
- Order status appears and an agreement statement. After checking the agreement statement choose continue. Last, at the Order Receipt box, “click here”.
- Next, begin taking the course.
- A student can return and finish any time. When finished, a student can print the certificate from that screen or save and print later.

AU Parking Fundraiser, Sep 2nd
Auburn Wrestling! We need volunteers to be parking lot attendants on Sep 2nd during Auburn University's first home game against Georgia Southern! We will be using 2 locations, one at Auburn Bank at 132 N. Gay St, and the other at Wells Fargo Bank at 307 N. Gay St. Click on the football logo or click here to signup!

Chipotle Fundraiser, Sep 5th
From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on September 5th, Chipotle (Auburn) is donating 50% of the receipts to the booster club. To receive this donation, you must tell them that you are there for the fundraiser, or bring in a copy of the flyer below, in order to receive a mark on your receipt which confirms your registration for the event. Go get some Mexican Grill and support the wrestling team!

Our First Restaurant Night will be Tuesday July 11th at Joe’s Deli by the Auburn Kroger. Joe’s will put a jar out to collect receipts for the wrestling program from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Please post this on your social media sites and tell your friends and family!

Athletic Physicals - April 26th @ AHS
Athletic physicals, administered by the staff of the Orthopaedic Clinic, will be offered to Auburn City Schools’ students that are currently enrolled in grades 6-12 on Wednesday, April 26th from 3:30-5:00 PM at the Auburn High School New Gym. The physical form can be downloaded below.
The front page of the physical form must be filled out completely and signed by a parent and the student before the student can be seen by Orthopaedic Clinic’s staff. Buses will be provided to help transport students after school from Drake Middle School and Auburn Junior High School to Auburn High School. The cost of the physical is $15 and checks can be made to Auburn City Schools Athletics. If you have any questions, please call the Athletic Office at 887-4969.
