Auburn Takedown Summer Workouts!
Auburn Takedown will start summer workout sessions for (entering) 7th-12th grade wrestlers on Monday, June 6th. Workouts will be held at the AHS Wrestling (old) Gym Monday through Thursday from 6:00-7:30 AM through the entire month.
- Workouts will include weight training and wrestling.
- Weekly emphasis will be different (neutral, top, bottom, and legs)
- Workouts are not mandatory but highly suggested. If you are involved in another sport, we will need to coordinate with other sports.

NHSCA Tune-Up event at Hoover this Saturday
The Skull and Crossbones Wrestling Club is sponsoring a National High School Coaches Association “Tune-Up” event at Hoover High School this Saturday! This is an NHSCA event so wrestlers do not need a card. They will use college out of bounds rules just like the NHSCA will use in Virginia Beach (back points and pins can occur out of bounds).

Oct 6th: Wrestling Night at Tenda Chick
Tenda Chick is donating a portion of the receipts to the wrestling team for those who eat there between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Go get some chicken and support the wrestling team on October 6th!
Oct 21st: Parent Meeting @ 6PM in the AJHS auditorium
At the meeting, you will have the opportunity to join the booster club and purchase items for the season, including season passes for the home wrestling matches, t-shirts, yard signs, car decals, and more. Please look for more information prior to the October 21st meeting. We will also be launching the big fundraiser that can be used to offset each player’s fee for the season. This will be a very important meeting. Make plans to be there.

Student-Athlete Eligibility Requirements
AHSAA and Auburn City Schools requires the following forms to be completed ANNUALLY and on file in the Auburn City Schools Athletic Office prior to a student-athlete participating in any tryout, practice or game/contest:
-- AHSAA Pre-Participation Physical Form: Front side completed and signed by the student and parent/guardian. Back side must be completed, dated and signed by an MD/DO.
- Exams can be completed at the following locations:

. Moore’s Mill Urgent Care: 2415 Moore’s Mill Rd, Auburn
. American Family Care South College: 1902 South College St, Auburn
. American Family Care Tiger Town: 2544 Enterprise Dr, Opelika
-- AHSAA Concussion Information Form: Parent/Guardian and student must print their respective names, sign and date
-- AHSAA Participant Agreement, Consent and Release Form: Parent/Guardian and student must print their respective names, sign and date
-- Auburn City Schools Medical Information Release and Insurance Form: Insurance information must be completed and form dated and signed by parent/guardian.
The following requirements are completed one time with certificates remaining in the student-athlete’s file in the Auburn City Schools Athletic Office until graduation.
-- Student Certified Birth Certificate: Original certified birth certificate brought to Athletic Office to be copied and the copy then placed in student-athlete’s file.
-- Student STAR Sportsmanship Certificate: Complete the STAR program and print certificate of completion to be placed in student-athlete’s file. (See below)

Voluntary Drug Testing
The Independent Decision (ID) Program aims to reinforce a positive drug free lifestyle by providing incentives to 7th through 12th grade students who refrain from using drugs. Students participating in the voluntary program agree to undergo random drug screening. Those who do not test positive for drugs become eligible for rewards.
