- The Alex City Youth Tournament: What a great weekend! Severe weather greeted our young wrestlers and their families when they arrived in the morning, but the team completed a strong performance with six finishing on the podium! John Mackey, Isaiah, Adam, and Ezra finished 2nd; Thomas placed 3rd; while John David brought home a 4th!

- TMC Challenge: We had another successful weekend at the TMC Challenge in Tallassee with 4 of our wrestlers bringing home medals! Ezra took top honors for a 2nd week!; Isaiah placed third; while Adam and John Mackey placed 4th! John Mackey had the best match of the morning, battling into triple overtime but unfortunately losing in the last round.

The Kagefit Slamboree tournament has a schedule adjustment. Both sessions will be pushed back one hour to accommodate those who may be facing inclement weather on Saturday morning.

Parent Information
- We had a very successful first tournament with 3 of our 5 wrestlers bringing home medals! Thomas and Adam placed 3rd, and Joshua placed 4th in a large 16-man bracket! John Mackey made it to the consolation semi-finals in a 13-man bracket. While Ezra had 2 tough defeats after he had to be moved up into the next age group since there was no one else at his weight. Overall, we're very pleased with our youth today!
- Highlights for this week include Chipotle night, a dual meet against Smith Station, and the Varsity Swede Umbach tournament. A quick explanation on the change to Youth night which was oriignally canceled when the JH tri-meet was moved to December 6th. However, since Smiths Station was going to be there anyway, the decision was made to change it to a dual meet.
- Lastly, note that Thursday’s practice is cancelled due to the downtown Christmas parade.

- We have a short week due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. If you were able to make it out to last Saturday’s Junior High Swede Umbach Tournament, you saw our JH team dominate the competition with an overall First Place team finish! Auburn completed the day with 8 - 1st place medals, 2 - 2nd place medals, 3 - 3rd place medals, and 4 - 4th place medals!
As a reminder, USA Wrestling membership is REQUIRED! If you haven’t registered your child yet, please complete registration online through the USA Wrestling website below.

- Thanks for your support, the kids are doing great! Now that the season has officially started, we’ll be raising the practice intensity while keeping it fun! No practice Tuesday but this will be a great opportunity for your young ones to view actual wrestling matches at the Black & Blue Meet. This is an annual intra-squad meet which pits Tiger against Tiger! Varsity, JV, and Junior High wrestlers will grapple against each other as the Black and Blue “Teams” battle to see who is the “best”. Youth wrestlers and families will be admitted free so don’t miss it!
